Officer Candidates

Each year, certain districts and positions are up for election.
This year, we have one candidate each for Treasurer and Vice-President.
The CCA’s bylaws state, “The election for Directors shall be conducted as determined by the Board. If only one candidate is nominated, that candidate may be elected through acclamation.”
Therefore, the following candidates will be elected through acclamation at the annual meeting.

Dr. Anderson has served on the CCA Board of Directors since 2022 and as the Association’s Treasurer for the past two years. He is now seeking the position of Vice President to continue contributing his leadership, financial experience, and knowledge of the Association’s governance and current priorities. His vision is to strengthen the CCA’s financial success while reinforcing its commitment to the values and philosophy of chiropractic. He also hopes to improve the Association’s reputation among chiropractors throughout Colorado and make membership increasingly valuable and attractive.

Beyond his practice, Dr. Anderson has worked with professional, collegiate, Olympic, Ironman, high school, and other competitive athletes. He has also served as team doctor for Valor Christian High School and has donated thousands of chiropractic visits to local student-athletes.

Dr. Shannon Bundy, D.C.

Dr. Shannon Bundy, D.C.

Director

A strong, financially healthy CCA has always been important to her, especially once she realized it’s the only organization dedicated to protecting chiropractic rights in Colorado.

During her presidency, she followed through on that mission by leading the Association’s most successful fundraising effort to date, strengthening CCA’s financial foundation and giving her successors the stability to forge ahead.

Her vision for the CCA also centers on growing membership and building a community other associations look to as an example, one where chiropractors connect, collaborate, and support one another.

Dr. Bundy is a mother of five, runs her own clinic, and serves on the CCA Board while regularly teaching on chiropractic in the community. She doesn’t do this because she has extra time; she does it because chiropractic has given her too much not to.

Dr. Jane Brewer, D.C.

Dr. Jane Brewer, D.C.

Director

Dr. Jane Brewer is the owner of Precision Chiropractic in Windsor and has been a CCA member since 2021. Her practice focuses on upper cervical chiropractic care and complex neurological, vestibular, and craniocervical conditions, and she brings more than a decade of experience as a practice owner, clinician, mentor, and educator.

Dr. Brewer brings extensive professional and nonprofit leadership experience, currently serving on the boards of the ICA Council on Upper Cervical Care and the Society of Chiropractic Orthospinology. She also serves on the Advisory Council for Front Range Community College’s Integrative Health Sciences program and previously served on the Board of Directors for Loveland Habitat for Humanity.

Her vision for the CCA is to strengthen its role as the trusted voice for chiropractic in Colorado while expanding leadership development, member engagement, advocacy, education, and meaningful professional connections. She is passionate about building bridges among chiropractors, healthcare professionals, and communities and helping future leaders within the profession develop and thrive.

Dr. Kathryn "Katie" Decker, D.C.

Dr. Kathryn "Katie" Decker, D.C.

Director

Dr. Kathryn “Katie” Decker is the founder and owner of 5280 Balanced Health Center in Centennial, where she provides family-focused chiropractic care. She holds the CACCP pediatric certification and has been practicing in Colorado since graduating from Cleveland Chiropractic College in 2010.

A CCA member since 2012, Dr. Decker believes the Association plays a vital role in supporting, uniting, and advocating for Colorado chiropractors. She views the CCA not simply as a professional organization, but as a community whose engaged members can strengthen the profession, better serve patients, and create a positive future for chiropractic in Colorado.

Dr. Decker brings extensive leadership and business experience to her candidacy. Her involvement in organized chiropractic began as president of the Student American Chiropractic Association chapter at Cleveland Chiropractic College, where she gained experience in board collaboration, advocacy, fundraising, event planning, and organizational leadership. For the past 11 years, she has managed the financial and operational responsibilities of her own multidisciplinary practice, including budgeting, payroll, commercial leases, vendor relationships, team leadership, and long-term planning.

Her vision is for a CCA in which chiropractors throughout Colorado feel connected, supported, represented, and motivated to participate. She is particularly interested in growing membership, strengthening the value of CCA membership, advocating for the professional and economic interests of Colorado chiropractors, and increasing the visibility and positive perception of chiropractic throughout the state.

Dr. Decker describes relationship-building and bringing people together around a shared purpose as two of her greatest strengths. Through her professional organizations, community outreach, local networking, and work with youth athletics, she has developed relationships that could help the CCA expand its reach, strengthen connections within the profession, and create new opportunities for collaboration.

Dr. Riley Kulm, D.C.

Dr. Riley Kulm, D.C.

Director

Dr. Riley Kulm is a chiropractor with Mile High Spine and Sport in Aurora. He earned his bachelor’s degree in integrative physiology from the University of Colorado and later graduated cum laude from the University of Western States with both a Doctor of Chiropractic degree and a Master of Science in Sports Medicine. His clinical background includes working with athletes from a wide range of sports, including lacrosse, hockey, rugby, rodeo, weightlifting, triathlon, basketball, track and field, and football.

A CCA member for seven years, Dr. Kulm believes the Association plays an important role in protecting chiropractors’ rights and scope of practice while advancing the profession for current and future generations. He has served on the CCA Education Committee for the past two years and has volunteered at the annual convention throughout his seven years of membership. These experiences have given him familiarity with the planning behind CCA programs and the opportunity to build strong working relationships with staff, board members, and Association leaders.

Dr. Kulm is especially interested in protecting Colorado chiropractors’ scope of practice and increasing participation in the CCA’s annual convention. He sees the convention’s continuing education, professional networking, and camaraderie as significant benefits and would like to better understand what programming and outreach could encourage more chiropractors to attend.

In addition to his CCA involvement, Dr. Kulm has seven years of nonprofit experience with Toastmasters and has served as his local club’s treasurer for six years. In that role, he manages the club’s budget, collects dues, approves purchases, and helps oversee events designed to increase participation. He identifies strategic planning, program development, membership development, financial management, and community collaboration among the skills he would bring to the Board.

Dr. John Steffens, D.C.

Dr. John Steffens, D.C.

Director

Dr. John Steffens is the founder of The View Chiropractic in Denver’s Central Park community, where he has practiced since 2010. He is a longtime CCA member and current member of the Board of Directors, bringing six years of Board service and experience as chair of the CCA Legislative Committee. His practice also identifies him as an active CCA Board member.

Dr. Steffens believes the CCA’s role is to advocate for, protect, defend, and promote chiropractic in Colorado while helping doctors remain successful and compliant with professional rules and regulations. He also values strengthening relationships among chiropractors and encouraging them to see one another as colleagues rather than competitors.

Throughout his career, Dr. Steffens has held leadership positions in athletics, youth sports, chiropractic education, and professional service. In addition to his CCA leadership, his experience includes serving as a sports team captain, director of coaching for a youth soccer club, and fraternity president while in chiropractic school.

His vision for the CCA includes significantly growing membership and creating more opportunities for chiropractors and their families to connect outside of continuing education and the annual convention. He is interested in community-building events that strengthen professional relationships, introduce more chiropractors to the Association, and encourage doctors to become leaders within their own communities.

Dr. Steffens brings strengths in board and program development, strategic planning, membership growth, communications, marketing, legislative advocacy, community collaboration, and event planning. With approximately 20 years in the profession, he has developed a broad network of Colorado chiropractors and hopes to use those relationships to communicate the importance of CCA membership and expand the Association’s reach.
