Dear CCA Members,
The Colorado Chiropractic Association Board of Directors would like to inform our members that Dr. Rachel Wendt plans to resign her position as the CCA Executive Director effective May 2021. Dr. Wendt will be taking the Executive Director role for the Kentucky Association of Chiropractors and relocating to Kentucky in May of 2021.
The CCA’s President, Dr. Craig Pearson, was quoted as saying, “ Dr. Rachel Wendt has been a phenomenal executive director over the years and has turned this association around. She has learned from the ground up and has brought us to an amazing place. We have loved the work she has brought to the CCA and the relationships she has built in the state of Colorado. In so many ways, we will miss her and we wish her well in this new adventure.”
Dr. Wendt started at the CCA as an independent contractor in October 2014, assumed the role of Interim Executive Director in January of 2016 and the Executive Director role officially in August of 2016. Dr. Wendt writes: “For the past six and a half years, I have had the privilege and honor to serve our Colorado chiropractors. The relationships and trust the profession has put in me has helped me to grow both personally and professionally. It was an honor to get to know each and every one of you and know that every relationship has made an impact in my life. It has been a joy to work with our amazing lobbying team over the years and we must celebrate the many wins we have had together in such a short amount of time. Moving forward, I have full confidence in the CCA Board of Directors to find the next Executive Director who will work alongside the board to carry out the mission of the CCA.”
The CCA Board of Directors have already begun the hiring process of locating and appointing a new Executive Director. We have hired the firm Association Options to help us in this search. Look to receive updates from the CCA Board of Directors as we move forward in this process.
