Colorado Board of Chiropractic Examiners Seeking Board Members
January 26, 2021
Greetings from the Colorado Board of Chiropractic Examiners,
We are currently seeking two professional members to fill chiropractic vacancies on the Colorado Board of Chiropractic Examiners (Board).
Here are some key facts you need to know about the Board when considering this public service opportunity:
– The Board is composed of 7 members: 5 chiropractors and 2 public members.
– The Board meets bimonthly. Normally, meetings take place at the Department of Regulatory Agencies (1560 Broadway, Denver). However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Board meetings currently are held via webinar.
– Members are volunteers appointed by the Governor.
– Four year terms and each member may be eligible to serve two terms.
The Board’s activities and decision making serve consumers best when Board members reflect a wide range of backgrounds, experiences, and identities. The Board encourages applicants from diverse backgrounds to apply, including, but not limited to, geographic location, race, gender and political affiliation.
Applicants must have at least five years’ experience as a chiropractor, no disciplinary history with the Board and no history of felony convictions.
The Board welcomes any chiropractors who are interested in furthering the Department’s mission of consumer protection and developing a strong chiropractic workforce. This is a great opportunity to give back to your profession, help your community and gain valuable public service experience. Your expertise is needed!
